“I must admit that initially I was a little daunted by the idea of having a photographer present at the birth of my second child. I worried about lots of things a woman might, such as “What will I wear? I don’t want to be indecent when a camera is present!” (like that’s an option in labour! Lol!) “Will I look crazy in photos of me having contractions?!” “How will I cope, and will I scare the photographer out of the room in transition?!!” (Ladies who have had a baby, you might know what I mean!!). However, in meeting with Bree, so many of these fears and worries subsided over a few chats and giggles, as I expressed them to her and she took me through how it would all work.

When the time finally arrived and labour had kicked off (very quickly!), I was in the “baby delivery” zone and can honestly say I hardly noticed that a photographer or camera was present (except when she kindly assisted in grabbing a bucket for me when I needed to throw up ha ha).
Bree showed an amazing level of professionalism, passion and respect for our birth journey, making us feel at complete ease.
When we were presented with Jemimah’s Birth Story, my husband and I were really taken back…it was amazing-precious beyond words, and I thought to myself “I am so glad I didn’t let my worries stop me from this amazing opportunity, and that now, we have such a precious record of the morning we met our darling little girl.” – Adaline

steviHi Bree, I have been meaning to find the time to write to you and say how much I love all of the pictures. They really are more than I could have ever dreamed for. Seeing Anthony’s face when he is looking at me and the pain in his eyes that he hid so well from me during the birth. I love all of the pictures from the maternity and newborn shoot. The ones in the bath are amazing! I know I will never hesitate again if I have any more children, I will get the photos done again. Thank you for your patience and professionalism!  – Stevi

“Adam and I can’t thank you enough for capturing the beautiful moments we shared in welcoming our gorgeous baby boy into the world.

Having you there felt so natural. The experience and the photographs were even more amazing than we anticipated. You were so professional and you captured moments that we would not have even thought of. Having you with us enabled Adam to focus on being there for me through the labour process and to simply enjoy the precious moments with our brand new son rather than reaching for the camera as soon as he was born. Bree, the photo’s you took are beautiful and natural and they make my heart melt each time I look at them. Thank you so much for making our precious memories ever lasting.”

“I just want to say again what a wonderful job you did recording the birth of Tania’s baby. As Tania’s midwife, I was impressed by how unobtrusive and professional your presence at the birth was – we were barely even aware of you during the birth – and yet the photos were amazing and captured the moment beautifully! Your photos tell the story of this wonderful birth imaginatively, sensitively and (importantly for when sharing photos) discreetly!
Wishing you all the best.”

“Meeting your baby for the first time is one of the most amazing experiences you could ever have. You wish that the precious moment of holding your baby in your arms for the first time could last forever. Deciding to have the birth of our second chid photographed is one decision we will never regret. Those first moments bonding as a family are really special and we have this all captured without any interruptions or having to get the midwives or my husband to take any photos. We have professional yet natural photos that we can cherish for a lifetime. Bree is exceptional at her job and always conducts herself in a professional and respectful manner. During the labour Bree was unobtrusive and remained focussed on her job. We are so happy with the photos we received and the service provided. Thank you!”  Paul & Chelle...

“We weren’t initially sure what to expect having a photographer as part of our birth, but Breanna was very friendly and unobtrusive and we felt 100% comfortable having her there.

When we looked back over the photos it was amazing to relive some of the emotions Breanna had captured of our journey. We are so thankful that we had decided to have our birth photographed, as we had already started to forget some of the emotion. Now we are able to relive and share the memories with family and friends, memories we will and can always treasure.” Leigh & Suzy.
