{ Vivienne – The Birth Story Photographer }

During my school years I never liked reading. Every time another book was required for literature class, I would first flick through the pages in search for the pictures. I liked the pictures, not only did it mean a few less pages to read, it added colour to an otherwise black and white world. My sister on the hand dreams of being locked in a room with a pile of novels and a cup of tea. We are all wired differently and that’s what makes the world exciting.

Funny enough I LOVE stories and it is STILL all about the pictures! To the picture lovers alike – Here is a story (without words) of a beautiful couple becoming a family!  Enjoy xx

{ Baby in 2014? }

Hello there! It’s been awhile but I’m nearly back on Australian soil after some big adventures through Asia with my family.  I may have coerced my husband to return a little earlier than expected as I was tempted to capture some more birth stories earlier this year.  In return for his co-operation he did score permission to buy a camper trailer!  Happiness all around!  I am excited to get straight back into the magic of storytelling through art.  The Birth Story is now taking bookings for 2014.  Please note there are very limited spots left for birth bookings in 2014.  If you would like your pregnancy, birth, or newborn story documented then I would love to chat with you!

As I’m currently still out of the country, email is the best contact info@thebirthstory.com.au

{ Time out to see the World }

With all my heart, I want to express my gratitude to all who follow this blog, comment, email, support me and allow me to photograph them in such vulnerable moments. You have touched my heart in many ways, allowed me to express the beauty of birth and made this journey of starting ‘The Birth Story’ such an amazing one. I am beyond blessed to be heading off to Asia tomorrow with the two most adorable men in my world! Having a diverse background, travel has always been a strong desire, particularly amongst different cultures than the western world. This dream has finally come to fruition and we are excited for the unknown that awaits us! We plan to return to Australia around March next year.

This is definitely no end for ‘The Birth Story’. Though I’ll be taking some time off to travel with my family, I am so passionate about birth photography I cannot wait to see what the future holds when I get back. Whilst away, I really hope to be able to photograph some births in rural settings in Asia. If I do get that amazing experience, I’ll be blogging about it as soon as I can!! A big thank you to my dear friend Cassie from Koko Photography for taking these precious images of my family!

Love Bree xx
