This beautiful family I met two years ago when Laura booked me for newborn photography. She has since been a light in my life, an encourager and an honest true friend. You don’t meet many like her! I’m so thankful that God crossed our paths and what a special reflection to now photograph their next little precious human.

APRIL 2016

Imagine how our birth culture would change if the first word we associated birth with was LOVE instead of PAIN. Yes there is challenge and triumph, struggle and joy, but the greatest of these…. Love.

Let your heart see the beauty.

Let your eyes be absorbed in the love.

Thank you Dave & Adaline for the gift of witnessing this love again.

Melanie - As a doula, I applaud what you wrote (if we could see labor as love instead of pain). So true. In this culture we see love as an emotion, but ultimately love comes from unconditional commitment and self-sacrifice. I wrote a short blog post on this: http://www.devotedhandsdoula.com/blog/loves-sacrifice
