{Wonder of Sand}

This sweet little face I will have to share with you from time to time… after all he is the whole reason The Birth Story exists. It was during my first cuddle with him I knew that my passion for photography would have to merge with the incredible story of birth. In the following months, it consumed my thoughts. I don’t even view it as work anymore, because ‘work’ always seemed to be something I had to do, while telling the story of birth, through art, was what I really wanted to do! I have big dreams for The Birth Story, so much more than the photography side of it.  I may share them with you one day.

So that brings me to this place. I hope it inspires you in some way.  Well, back to what this post is actually about..

Recently I took Indi for a walk in the pram down to a lake. I wasn’t actually planning on taking photos but as I watched him enter a world of discovery in the sand, I just had to snap a few. I loved watching him be amazed at how sand ran through his fingers. He rummaged around and found lots of cool little things in the sand, followed by the usual ‘what does it taste like’ test.  I’m not sure who enjoyed this adventure more.
